The Kia Seltos is the first SUV from Kia for the Indian car market and has been on sale since last year. The D-segment SUV is offered in the Indian market across 16 variants, three engine options and two trim levels.

In terms of exterior looks, the Kia Seltos has a very busy but unique front design. The chrome-finished signature tiger-nose grille is flanked by stylish pair of headlamps which are integrated with LED day-time-running lights. The horizontally stacked fog-lamps also look handsome. At the back, the well-appointed LED headlamps add to the muscular stance of Seltos. There’s chrome slat joining the tail lamps and the sculpted bumper with faux bash plates rounds off the Seltos’ exterior looks. Dimension wise, the Seltos measures 4315x1800x1620 mm with a wheelbase of 2610mm, a ground clearance of 190mm.

Inside, on the top spec models, you get leather upholstery, climate control, mood lighting, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air purifier and a 360-degree surround camera.

Powertrain options for the Kia Seltos include a 1.5-litre petrol engine, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.5-litre petrol motor is available with a six speed manual transmission and a CVT unit. The 1.4-litre turbo-petrol motor is offered only with a seven-speed DCT unit. The 1.5-litre diesel motor can be had with a six speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Kia Seltos is a rival for the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster and the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. At the higher end of the Seltos range you can also have mid-spec models of the MG Hector, Mahindra XUV500 and the Tata Harrier.
